How to Add Your Own Code to Natively Apps?
Other than via prompting, you can add new features to your app with coding. That's a feature we added for our coder builders, and let's explore how to use it in this guide.
While the real way to build apps on Natively is via prompting, we’ve built something for coders too. It’s called as “View the Code” button where you can access and edit your app’s code completely.
In this guide, we’ll explore how you can access it and add new features to your app.
1. Describe your app
On Natively, you can build any app you want just by describing it. Write your prompt describing your app idea, how you want the interface to look like, the features you want, and any specific pages you want in it.
This is an exemplar prompt for your reference:

If you engineer your prompt a certain way, you can also clone an existing platform. One you’re done prompting the AI, click on the “arrow” on the right end.
Your app will look like this in Natively:

On the left side, you can find the chatbot that allows you do iterative prompting. Integrations, credits, and subscriptions are all on the top menu bar.
2. View the code
Just in the middle of the top menu bar, you can find this option that says, “Switch to code view”. It looks like this:

If you click on the button, you can view your app’s code. This section is especially built for coders who want to customize their mobile app with their own code. You can access and edit the code however you want.

3. Iterate with prompts
Here’s what makes Natively special: You don’t really need to code to add any functionalities. In fact, you just need to use the iterative prompting chatbot on the left side of your screen.
Describe any features you want to add and the AI will build it in minutes. Here we’ve created a Sign-Up page for our app:

Integrations: Add Complex Features to Apps
Integrations such as Supabase and OpenRouter allow you to add any feature you want to your app, from an AI chatbot to a simple new app screen.
Once you’ve created your account on the integration you want to add, you’ll just need to connect the platform with your Natively app. For instance, you need to create and connect the API Key on OpenRouter to add AI capabilities to your app.

Bottom Line
Natively lets you build and launch any app you want — from a simple tracker to a full-fledged SaaS app — within several weeks. You can customize your app however you want. Thus, it makes Natively more than an AI tool.
Start prompting your app idea now and get it ready for launch by next week. Get your ideas turned into functional apps with Natively.
